2010's Final Tally: Pathetic

And so that's where 2010 ended...at #24 with King Arthur. It is, in a word, pathetic. Especially since I am writing this post on January 16. But onto better and brighter things...really...because 2011 will be better and brighter. I hope.

About 30 Great Books

In 1997, I realized that I had stopped reading. As a kid, I would lose myself in books, but over time, something happened. I don't know what exactly, but three years shy of the new millenium, I knew that I was mostly just reading what I was being assigned in class - if that. So in January of that year, I decided to keep track of all the books I read, attempting to read 30 a year. And off the top of my head, I can still remember some of the first titles: Felicia's Journey, Love in the Time of Cholera, The Celestine Prophecy, Surfing the Himalayas...

Since then, some years I've managed to complete the goals while in others, not so much. And since I'm no longer in school and rarely find anyone who's reading the same book at the same time, I decided to blog about it. Just think of it as a book club with the members being me, myself, and I.
